Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department Of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the herring, mackerel, crab, lobster, scallop and any species of groundfish fishery by vessel classes C1 to C6000 (mobile gear vessels less than 65 ft.) will be closed until further notice in the scallop spat collection site enclosed by straight lines joining the following points in the
order which they are listed:
  1. 47°4503N   65°3424W
  2. 47°4539N   65°3219W
  3. 47°4439N   65°3140W
  4. 47°4402N   65°3345W
  5. 47°4503N   65°3424W
and
  1. 47°13′50″N   64°44′26″W
  2. 47°13′50″N   64°45′55″W
  3. 47°15′09″N   64°45′55″W
  4. 47°15′08″N   64°44′26″W
  5. 47°13′50″N   64°44′26″W
Please note that the scallop spat collection sites are no longer closed in the Northumberland Strait. Sites in the Chaleur Bay and Miramichi Bay remain closed.

Gulf Region Close Time Variation Order 2003-041 is hereby revoked.
