Notice

Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below in the province of Prince Edward Island are closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs including bay scallops:

  1. The foreshore and waters of Brudenell River within a line drawn from a point of land on Gordon Point at grid reference 531602E 5116287N, thence southward to grid reference 531563E 5115915N and thence eastward to a point of land on Brudenell Island at grid reference 532441E 5115938N. (Refer to map Montague 11L/2)

  2. Brudenell River west of a line drawn from grid reference 529112E 5116236N to grid reference 529165E 5116034N. (Refer to map Montague 11L/2)

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-034 comes into force on June 10, 2011.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-028 issued on May 26, 2011, is revoked.
