Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any bivalve molluscs in the Province of New Brunswick.

  1. The waters of Miramichi River, West of a line drawn from grid reference 327300 5216570 at Cheval Point to grid reference 328100 5220555 off Oak Point to grid reference 328545 5221211 to grid reference 329228 5221815 to grid reference 329128 5221928 approximately 150 metres east of White's Brook. Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3.
  2. That portion of Miramichi Bay at a place known as Point aux Carr from grid reference 332491 5216673 seaward to grid reference 332491 5216873 to grid reference 332951 5216873 to grid reference 332951 5216250 to grid reference 332461 5216223. Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3.

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).
