Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing of any bivalve mollusc in the Province of New Brunswick.

  1. That portion of Buctouche Harbour, Kent County, inside a straight line drawn from Sandy Point to the south bank of the Number 134 Highway Bridge and a straight line drawn from grid reference 6878 4755 on the south bank of Buctouche River to Frigot Point, and grid reference 6982 4862 to grid reference 6990 4888 and the portion of the Little Buctouche River inside of a straight line drawn from grid reference 6964 4536 to grid reference 7014 4536 to a line drawn from grid reference 6894 4407 to grid reference 6894 4373. Refer to map Buctouche 21 - I/7.

The area known as Boisjoli will open August 18, 1994.

Note : When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
