Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below and located in Colchester County, in the Province of Nova Scotia, are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops:

  1. Waters of Dobson Creek and Millard Creek inside a line drawn from grid reference 471412E 5065964N to grid reference 471712E 5065294N. (Refer to map Tatamagouche 11 E/11).

  2. Tatamagouche Bay and Waugh River inside a line drawn from grid reference 475212E 5064814N on Blockhouse Point to grid reference 477662E 5065414N. (Refer to map Tatamagouche 11 E/11).

  3. That portion of Barrachois Harbour south of a line drawn from grid reference 479892E 5063114N to grid reference 480712E 5063304N. (Refer to map Tatamagouche 11 E/11).

  4. Brule Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 484476E 5064751N to grid reference 486276E 5065905N. (Refer to map Tatamagouche 11 E/11).

  5. That portion of John Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 493096E 5067240N to grid reference 492670E 5067749N. (Refer to map Tatamagouche 11 E/11).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983)
