Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below in the Province of Nova Scotia are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops:

  1. That portion of Little Harbour known as Chapel Cove inside a line drawn from grid reference 535825E 5054572N to grid reference 535349E 5055139N to grid reference 535495E 5055225N. (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10)

  2. That portion of Little Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 533139E 5056226N to grid reference 533304E 5056568N. (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10)

  3. That portion of the waters located south of McNeils Point from grid reference 536558E 5054841N to grid reference 536461E 5054931N. (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10)

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2012-029 comes into force on June 5, 2012.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2012-019 is hereby revoked.
