Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the following area located in the waters of Northumberland County, Province of New Brunswick, is closed to fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops:

A portion of the waters of Kouchibouguacis River upstream from grid reference 353794E 5180844N to grid reference 354049E 5180782N and then from grid reference 353166E 5180081N to grid reference 352955E 5180391N (Refer to map Pointe-Sapin 21 I/15).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2012-075 will come into force on December 12, 2012, and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.
