Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs in the Northumberland County, Province of New Brunswick:

  1. The waters of Ruisseau Sureau Blanc inside a line drawn from grid reference 356860E 5260110N to grid reference 357310E 5260210N. (Refer to map Wishart Point 21 P/7).
  2. Waters of Tabusintac River and all its tributaries, upstream from a line drawn from grid reference 348235E 5244331N to grid reference 348154E 5244093N. (Refer to maps Tabusintac River 21 P/6 and Wishart Point 21 P/7).
  3. The waters of Neguac Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 342145E 5233419N, seaward to grid reference 342399E 5233451N, then to grid reference 342513E 5233601N and thence shoreward to grid reference 342516E 5233868N. (Refer to map Chatham 21P/3).
  4. The waters of Neguac Bay and Godin Brook inside a line drawn from grid reference 342939E 5234300N, eastward to grid reference 343062E 5234238N, then to grid reference 343351E 5234653N and then shoreward to grid reference 343348E 5234993N. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).
  5. That portion of Neguac bay, including Rivière-des-Caches, inside a line drawn from grid reference 340810E 5232200N to grid reference 341330E 5232480N. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).
  6. Bay du Vin inside a line drawn from grid reference 337420E 5213210N to grid reference 337320E 5213310N to grid reference 337610E 5213710N to grid reference 338010E 5214010N to grid reference 338110E 5213860N. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).
  7. The foreshore and all the waters 150 m around Egg Island within a line drawn from grid reference 344360E 5218730N to grid reference 344360E 5218580N on the South shore of the island thence following 150 m around the island and back to those grid references. (Refer to map Chatham 21P/3).
  8. The waters of Miramichi Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 355560E 5215640N seaward to grid reference 355560E 5216210N to grid reference 357160E 5216210N and shoreward to grid reference 357160E 5215800N. (Refer to map Point Escuminac 21P/2).
  9. The waters of McKnight Brook and the Shoreline of Neguac Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 344933E 5236241N seaward to grid reference 345005E 5236113N, thence to grid reference 345429E 5236328N, then shoreward to grid reference 345389E 5236469N. (Refer to map Tabusintac River 21 P/6).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2013-007 shall come into force on April 22, 2013, and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order no. GSN-2003-44 and Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order no. GSN-2007-34 are hereby revoked.
