The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2012-074 (closing the area listed below) is hereby revoked:

The waters of Miramichi Inner Bay inside lines drawn from a point on land south-west of Burnt Church wharf at grid reference 336713E 5227500N, then 400 meters seaward to grid reference 336889E 5227162N to a point in the water south-east of Hay Island at grid reference 344067E 5232275N then east of Hay Island to grid reference 343545E 5233155N. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the fishing areas before going fishing.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2013-015 comes into force on June 5, 2013, and remains in force unless otherwise revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2012-074 issued on December 6, 2012, is revoked.
