Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below will be closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs:

  1. Waters of St-Simon River inside a line drawn from grid reference 360189 5290130 to grid reference 360344 5290292 (Refer to map Caraquet 21 P/15, 16 & 22A/1,2).
  2. Waters of St-Simon River inside a line drawn from grid reference 360665 5289858 eastward to grid reference 360777 5289902 to grid reference 360881 5289686 and then westward to grid reference 360769 5289643 (Refer to map Tracadie 21 P/10).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
