Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops in the Province of New Brunswick:

1. Waters of Grande Batture, near St. Cécile inside a line drawn from grid reference 374904E 5302263N to grid reference 374803E 5302315N to grid reference 375031E 5302594N to grid reference 375092E 5302513N. 

2. Waters of Chaleur Bay, near Pointe-Canoe inside a line drawn from grid reference 372208E 5298360N to grid reference 372250E 5296612N.   

3. Waters of Baie Brûlé, inside a line drawn from grid reference 369255E 5290150N to grid reference 369160E 5290175N, to grid reference 369220E 5290420N and then to grid reference 369310E      5290400N.

4. Waters of Baie de Petite-Lamèque inside a line drawn from grid reference 374640E 5297293N to grid reference 374948E 5296960N.

5. Waters of Grande Batture at Petite-Rivière-de-l’Île, inside a line drawn from grid reference 376423E 5303313N to grid reference 376423E 5303841N.

Note:  When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).
