Certain waters closed to fishing for bivalve molluscs in Pictou County, Nova Scotia (NS).

Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops, in the Province of Nova Scotia:

 1)  That portion of Little Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 534262E 5056326N to grid reference 534666E 5056085N (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10).

 2)  That portion of Chance Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 532703E 5058023N at a point near Sinclairs Island to grid reference 533191E 5057374N (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10).

 3)  That portion of Little Harbour known as Powells Cove inside a line drawn from grid reference 534155E 5055474N to grid reference 534218E 5055251N, then to grid reference 534449E 5055166N (Refer to map New Glasgow 11E/10)

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2015-011 will come into force on March 12, 2015.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2014-050 is hereby revoked.
