Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the following areas are closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs in the Province of New Brunswick:

1.   Black River (Kouchibouguac Bay) and its tributaries west of a straight line drawn from grid reference 349225E 5189372N to grid reference 349232E 5189039N.  Refer to map Pointe-Sapin 21 I/15.

2.   Kouchibouquac River and its tributaries west of a line drawn from grid reference 352645E 5188602N to grid reference 352917E 5188311N.  Refer to map Pointe-Sapin 21 I/15.

3.   Kouchibouquacis River (St. Louis River) and its tributaries inside a straight line drawn from grid reference 352949E 5180416N to grid reference 353153E 5180064N.   Refer to map Pointe-Sapin 21 I/15.

4.   St. Charles River (Aldouane River) and Little Aldouane River inside a straight line drawn from grid reference 354020E 5176406N to grid reference 355516E 5175241N. Refer to map Richibucto 21 I/10.

5.   That portion of Baie du Village inside a straight line drawn from grid reference 364182E 5170355N to grid reference 365622E 5170596N and all waters flowing into that portion of the bay. Refer to map Richibucto 21 I/10.

6.   Chockpish River inside a straight line drawn from grid reference 368052E 5160405N to grid reference 368052E 5160225N.  Refer to map Richibucto 21 I/10.

7.   Bouctouche River inside of a straight line drawn from grid reference 365720E 5146188N to grid reference 365952E 5145825N.  Refer to map Buctouche 21 I/7.

8.   Little Bouctouche River upstream inside a straight line drawn from grid reference 370162E 5146144N to grid reference 370640E 5145908N, 125 meters east of a wharf on the south shore.  Refer to map Bouctouche 21 I/7.

9.   The waters of Bouctouche Bay west of a straight line drawn from grid reference 370785E 5153230N to grid reference 370897E 5153503N.  Refer to Map Bouctouche 21-I/7.

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983).
