Closing portions of waters in the Cumberland County of the Nova Scotia (NS) for fishing of any bivalve molluscs.

Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters, whelks and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops, in the Province of Nova Scotia:

1) That portion of Baie Verte (Lorneville) inside of a line drawn from grid reference 424700E 5094200N on Roche Head to grid reference 427000E 5097000N and then to grid reference 434000E 5093000N and then back to shore at grid reference 431953E 5090904N. (Refer to map Pugwash 11E/13) (NAD 83).

2) Shinimicas River and its tributaries inside a line drawn from grid reference 432826E 5089169N to grid reference 436106E 5085611N on Birch Head (Refer to map Pugwash 11 E/13) (NAD 83).

3) Goose River inside a line drawn from grid reference 436861E 5083851N to grid reference 437700E 5082709N (Refer to map Pugwash 11 E/13). (NAD 83)

4) River Philip and its tributaries including Toney Creek inside a line drawn from grid reference 443661E 5079927N to grid reference 444635E 5078932N (Refer to map Pugwash 11 E/13) (NAD 83).

5) All waters of Pugwash Harbour and Pugwash Basin and its tributaries inside a line drawn from grid reference 446648E 5078233N to grid reference 447337E 5079931N (Refer to map Pugwash 11E/13) (NAD 83).

6) Fox Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 463510E 5077650N to grid reference 463050E 5077050N (Refer to map Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

7) Fox Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 465425E 5077575N on the north shore of the harbour to grid reference 465425E 5077350N and thence to grid reference 465925E 5077350N and thence back to the north shore of the harbour to grid reference 465925E 5077500N (Refer to map Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

8) Fox Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 464775E 5076075N on the south shore of the harbour to grid reference 464775E 5076200N and thence to grid reference 465300E 5076200N and thence back to the south shore of the harbour to grid reference 465300E 5075925N (Refer to map Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

9) North Wallace Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 456840E 5075400N to grid reference 456920E 5075350N and a line drawn from grid reference 457740E 5075750N to grid reference 457500E 5075500N (Refer to map Pugwash 11 E/13) (NAD 27).

10) Wallace Harbour and Wallace River inside, or south of a line drawn from grid reference 459790E 5073420N to grid reference 462320E 5073580N and thence to grid reference 462380E 5074200N; and inside, or west of a line drawn from grid reference 463940E 5073400N on MacFarlane Point to grid reference 464620E 5074250N (Refer to maps Pugwash 11 E/13 and Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

11) Lazy Bay at East Wallace inside, or south of a line drawn from grid reference 466325E 5071775N to grid reference 467275E 5072300N (Refer to map Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

12) Wallace Harbour inside, or south of a line drawn from grid reference 464400E 5072950N to grid reference 464750E 5072950N and thence to grid reference 464750E 5072700N (Refer to map Malagash 11 E/14) (NAD 27).

13) The waters of the cove inside a line drawn from grid reference 436527E 5085383N on Birch Head to grid reference 436597E 5084556N (Refer to map Pugwash 11 E/13) (NAD 83).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927 and North American Datum 1983).
