Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters, whelks and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops:

1.     The waters of Chaleur Bay inside of a line drawn from grid reference 275960E 5312010N near Ellis Rd, seaward to grid reference 276170E 5312529N eastward to a point north of Little Belledune Point at grid reference 283802E 5311904N, then eastward to grid reference 285843E 5310791N, then on land at grid reference 285814E 5310322N situated west of Belledune Harbour (NAD 83, UTM Zone 20).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).
