Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2016-040 (closing the area listed below) is revoked:

Waters of Little Shemogue Harbour, New Brunswick inside of a line drawn from grid reference 413610E 5115033N located at Shemogue Head seaward to grid reference 413620E 5115090N then eastward to grid reference 424553E 5114846N then to grid reference 424549E 5114774N located at Cape Bruin.

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983)

Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the fishing areas before going fishing.
