Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters, whelks and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops:

1. Bedeque Bay and Summerside Harbour inside lines drawn from grid reference 432070E 5138063N on Ives Point to 437634E 5135697N on MacCallums Point and a line drawn from 439101E 5133562N to 438198E 5132279N and a third line drawn from 437258E 5132006N to 431477E 5134535N and then to 432070E 5138063N on Ives Point. (Refer to map Summerside 11-L/05)

2. Dunk River between lines drawn from grid reference 438398E 5135607N on MacCallums Point to 439349E 5135616N on Holman Island and a line drawn from grid reference 439757E 5135629N on Holman Island to grid reference 441184E 5136731N on Schurmans Point and a line drawn from grid reference 441287E 5133857N to 442358E 5134347N. (Refer to map Summerside 11-L/05)

Note:  When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).
