Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GTN-2017-001 (closing the area listed below) is hereby revoked:


The waters east of a line drawn from Pagan Point at the Latitude/Longitude positions 46.688162° , - 64.836763° to South Richibucto Beach at 46.707825°, -64.804606°.


Note:  When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the fishing areas before going fishing.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GTN-2017-001 issued on June 22, 2017, is revoked.
