Closing certain waters within or adjacent to Northumberland County in the province of New Brunswick for fishing for all bivalve molluscs.

Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the areas listed below are closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops, in the Province of New Brunswick:

1. That portion of Rivière du Portage and its tributaries in Northumberland County.

2. Tabusintac Bay inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.380847°, -64.933428° to 47.375395°, -64.936541° and thence to 47.372343°, -64.941463° (Refer map Wishart Point 21 P/7).

3. All waters of Miramichi Bay located at Burnt Church, inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.192061°, -65.13567° to 47.210257°, -65.100613° to 47.215108°, -65.105955°. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).

4. Black River and its tributaries inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.035009°,  65.21245° to 47.033968°, -65.210433°. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).

5. Bay du Vin River and its tributaries inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.032032°,  65.137041° to 47.031726°, -65.139003°. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3). 

6. The foreshore and waters off McInnis Brook within 100m radius of the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.061286°, -65.122143°. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).

7. French River inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.082541°, -65.011532°, on French River Point, to 47.079406°, -65.010756°. (Refer to map Chatham 21 P/3).

8. Eel River and its tributaries inside a line drawn at the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.048377°,  64.999451° to 47.047992°, -64.985349°. (Refer to map Point Escuminac 21 P/2).

9. The foreshore and waters of Baie Ste-Anne within 120m radius of the following Latitude/Longitude positions; from 47.051919°, -64.966403°. (Refer to map Point Escuminac 21 P/2).

 Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are express in decimal, degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2017-050 comes into force on October 16, 2017, and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order no. GSN-2003-042 is hereby revoked.
