Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs in the Province of New Brunswick.

  1. The waters of La Passe (Surette Island) Northumberland Strait inside a line from grid reference 375850 5139330 to grid reference 376100 5139250 to grid reference 376300 5138500 to grid reference 376100 5137330 to grid reference 375840 5136540 to grid reference 375680 5136540 (Reference to map Buctouche 21-I/7);
  2. The waters of Northumberland Strait at St-Thomas-de-Kent inside a line drawn from grid reference 374320 5144600 to grid reference 374600 5144080 (Refer to map Buctouche 21-I/7);
  3. The waters of Northumberland Strait at Cormierville inside a line drawn from grid reference 375550 5141125 seaward to grid reference 376000 5141000 to grid reference 375850 5140400 to grid reference 375650 5140300 located 125 meters south of the Cormierville wharf abutment (Refer to map Buctouche 21-I/7).

Note : When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
