The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the season for fishing for scallop in Scallop Fishing Area 21 will be as follows:


The waters of Scallop Fishing Area 21 known as Sub-Area 21A remains closed except this portion of Sub-Area 21A (enclosed by straight lines joining the following points in the order in which they are listed) which will be open beginning at 06:00 hrs on July 8 to 18:00 hrs on July 22, 2019. The fishery will be closed each day beginning at 18:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs on the following day, and closed each week beginning at 18:00 hrs on Friday to 06:00 hrs on the following Monday:

The waters of Scallop Fishing Area 21 known as Sub-Area 21B remains closed except this portion of Sub-Area 21B (enclosed by straight lines joining the following points in the order in which they are listed) which is open until August 8, 2019:

The maximum average scallop meat count permitted is 39 scallop meats  per 500 grams.

The waters of Scallop Fishing Area 21 known as Sub-Area 21C will be open  beginning at 04:00 hrs on July 8 to 21:00 hrs on August 2, 2019. The fishery will be closed each day beginning at 21:00 hrs to 04:00 hrs on the following day and closed each week beginning at 21:00 hrs on Friday to 04:00 hrs on the following Monday.

The maximum average scallop meat count permitted is 39 scallop meats per 500 grams.

Gulf Region Close Time and Size Limit Variation Order 2019-019 comes into force on May 13, 2019, and remains in force until December 31, 2019.
