Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the area listed below will be closed (starting on July 1, 2019) for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops, in the Province of Prince Edward Island:

Souris River from a line drawn at a point at 46.37877° north latitude, 62.29228° west longitude  to a point  at 46.37874° north latitude, 62.28999° west longitude then south to a point at 46.36345° north latitude,  62.27426° west longitude then south to the bridge at a point at 46.35664° north latitude, 62.27711° west longitude to a point at 46.35688° north latitude, 62.27842° west longitude (refer to maps Souris 11L/8 & 11K/5).

Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are express in decimal, degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.
