The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2019-024 (closing the area listed below) is hereby revoked:

That portion of Mabou Harbour inside a line drawn from a point at 46.08741° north latitude, 61.47269° west longitude to a point at 46.08821° north latitude, 61.47222° west longitude and then along the shoreline to a point at 46.08636° north latitude, 61.46662° west longitude to a point at 46.08484° north latitude, 61.46678° west longitude to a point at 46.08445° north latitude, 61.46386° west longitude then to a point at 46.08565° north latitude, 61.46209° west longitude and along the shoreline to a point at 46.08488° north latitude, 61.46031° west longitude to a point at 46.085419° north latitude, 61.457224° west longitude then along the shoreline to a line drawn from a point at 46.08167° north latitude, 61.43584° west longitude to a point at 46.07716° north latitude, 61.43560° west longitude. (Refer to map Lake Ainslie 11K/3).

Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are express in decimal, degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.

Harvesters are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Harvesters are encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the fishing areas before going fishing.
