Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops in the Province of New Brunswick:

A portion of the waters of Kouchibouguacis River upstream from a point at 46.76514° north latitude, 64.91476° west longitude, to a point at 46.76463° north latitude, 64.91141° west longitude, and then from a point at 46.75814° north latitude, 64.92274° west longitude, to a point at 46.76088° north latitude, 64.92560° west longitude. (Refer to map Pointe-Sapin 21 I/15).

Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are expressed in decimal degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2019-091 comes into force on October 15, 2019.
