Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters, whelks and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops in the Province of Prince Edward Island:

Bedeque Bay and Summerside Harbour inside a line drawn from a point at 46.39303° north latitude, 63.88331° west longitude, to point at 46.37209° north latitude, 63.81100° west longitude on the breakwater at Indian Spit, and inside a line drawn from a point at 46.37129° north latitude, 63.80140° west longitude on MacCallums Point to point at 46.37142° north latitude, 63.78868° west longitude on Holman Island and inside a line drawn from a point at 46.37148° north latitude, 63.78328° west longitude on Holman Island, to point at 46.38192° north latitude, 63.76447° west longitude on Schurmans Point. (Refer to map Summerside 11L/5).

Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are expressed in decimal degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.
