Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters, whelks and any other bivalve molluscs including bay scallops in the Province of New Brunswick:

The foreshore and waters off Belledune and Pointe verte inside a line drawn from a point located on shore near Belledune River at 47.91006° north latitude, 65.86609° west longitude, thence seaward to a point at 47.91651° north latitude, 65.86699° west longitude, thence to a point at 47.91724° north latitude, 65.83758° west longitude, thence to a point at 47.86528° north latitude, 65.75424° west longitude, thence to a point at 47.83464° north latitude, 65.72602° west longitude, and thence to a point at 47.81409° north latitude, 65.72387° west longitude located on shore at Limestone Point (Refer to map Pointe Verte 21P/13).
 
Note: The Latitude and Longitude positions are expressed in decimal degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GTN-2020-001 comes into force on January 24, 2020 and remains in force unless otherwise revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GTN-2005-02 is hereby revoked.
