Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans hereby gives notice that, the area within the Province of New Brunswick listed below, is closed for fishing for any bivalve molluscs including all species of clams, mussels, oysters, scallops and also, some gastropod molluscs including whelks and moon snails:

The foreshore and waters of New Mills and Blackland, inside a line drawn starting at a point at 47.97407° north latitude, 66.2043° west longitude, to a point at 47.97635° north latitude, 66.2043° west longitude, to a point at 47.97627° north latitude, 66.18368° west longitude, to a point at 47.97012° north latitude, 66.18248° west longitude. (Refer to map Charlo 21 O/16).

Note: The latitude and longitude positions are expressed in decimal degrees based on the datum World Geodetic Coordinate System 1984 (WGS84) which is equivalent to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) system.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2022-060 comes into force on September 7, 2022 and remains in force unless otherwise revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2020-003 is hereby revoked.
