Notice

The Regional Director-General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the following area located in the Province of Nova Scotia is no longer closed for fishing of any bivalve molluscs due to contamination:

All waters of Wallace Bay and Wallace River upstream of a line drawn from grid reference 459790 5073420 to grid reference 462320 5073580 and thence to grid reference 462380 5074200; (Refer to maps Pugwash 11 E/13 and Malagash 11 E/14).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2005-235 issued on November 3, 2005, is revoked.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2005-238 will come into force on November 21, 2005 and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.
