The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, issues the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-STN-2014-017, which closes the following areas to fishing for any bivalve molluscs:

 

 

 

Cheney Passage and the southern portion of Ross Island between a line drawn from grid reference 7830 4820 at Fish Fluke Point on Ross Island to grid reference 7905 4557 on Bills Inlet and thence to grid reference 7974 4630 at Salt Pond Point on Cheney Island, and a line drawn from grid reference 8029 4890 on Ross Island to grid reference 8060 4890 on Edmond Rock and thence to grid reference 8140 4759 on Cheney Island (refer to map Grand Manan Island 21 B/10 & 21 B/6,7,11).

 

 

 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
