Notice

The Regional Director-General, for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2014-023, closing the following area to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops: 

Tidal and foreshore waters within Eel Lake within a line drawn at the Highway 3 bridge near Ste. Anne de Ruisseau at grid reference 265061 4857685 to grid reference 264789 4858621 to grid reference 265191 4858841 then to grid reference 265336 4858848. 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983).
