Notice

The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, issues the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-STN-2015-007 which closes the following areas to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops:

 

A portion of Clam Harvesting Area 7 (sub-sector 14C), namely Hills/Bliss/Frye Islands New Brunswick and described as:

 

The foreshore and waters within 300m of the following islands in the Bay of Fundy:  Frye Island, Douglas Island, Hog Island, Morans Island, Eagle Island, Spruce Island, White Head Island, Bliss Island, Man of War Island, Howards Island, Flea Island, Mink Island, Fox Island, Bar Island, Hills Island, and Jail Island.  Refer to map St. George 21 G/2.

 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (NAD 1927).
