The Regional Director-General, for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-STN-2015-014, closing the following area to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops: 

A portion of Clam Harvesting Area 7 (sub-sector 17D), namely Stuart Town, New Brunswick and described as:

The foreshore and waters within 300 m of DeerIsland, in the Bay of Fundy, but not including the areas set out in paragraphs (a) and (b):

(a)        Northern Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 5650 8279 to grid reference 5690 8330 on Oak Head.  Refer to maps St. George 21 G/2 and Campobello Island 21 B/15 & 21 B/14.

(b)               Clam Cove inside a line drawn from grid reference 5691 8040 on Mink Point to grid reference 5640 8069 on Clam Cove Head.  Refer to maps St. George 21 G/2 and Campobello Island 21 B/15 & 21 B/14. 

The foreshore and waters within 300 m of the following islands in the Bay of  Fundy:  Spectacle Island, English Island, Pendleton Island, New Ireland Island, Macs Island, Nub Island, Mohawk Island, Parker Island, Jameson Island, Partridge Island, Crow Island, Little Island, Hardwood Island, Fish Island, Adam Island, Beans Island, Simpsons Island, Barnes Island, Mowat Island, Mink Island, St. Helena Island, Spectacle Islands, Nubble Island, White Horse Island, Dinner Island, Hospital Islands, White Island, Spruce Island, Bar Island, Tinkers Island, Sandy Island, Sandy Ledge Island, Casco Bay Island, Green Island, Popes Island, Indian Island, Marble Island and Cherry Island.  Refer to maps St. George 21 G/2 and Campobello Island 21 B/15 & B/14. 

 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
