The Regional Director-General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2016-008, closing the following area to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, whelks and bay scallops:
A portion of Clam Harvest Area 7 (sub-sector 16B) namely James Brook, New Brunswick described as:
That portion of Chamcook Harbour inside a line drawn from grid reference 5265 9720 on Chamcook Point, and thence to grid reference 5305 9564 on Bar Road. (refer to map St. Stephen 21 G/3).
Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
