The Regional Director-General, for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-STN-2016-008, closing the following area to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops: 

A portion of Clam Harvesting Area 7 (sub-sector 19C), namely Ross Island Thoroughfare New Brunswick and described as: 

Ross Island Thoroughfare and/et Nantucket Island, Grand Manan:  

That portion of the Ross Island Thoroughfare and Grand Harbour between a line drawn from grid reference 7830 4820 at Fish Fluke Point, Ross Island, to grid reference 7783 4975 at Philips Point, Grand Manan Island and a line drawn from grid reference 7950 5089 (Southern end of Priest Cove) on Grand Manan Island to grid reference 7968 5038 (Northern tip of Ross Island) on Ross Island, and also the foreshore and tidal waters within 120 m of the eastern shore of Nantucket Island from grid reference 8030 5205 on the northern tip to grid reference 8050 5110 on the southern tip.  See map Grand Manan Island 21 B/10 & 21 B/6,7,11. 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1927).
