Notice

The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada hereby revokes Prohibition Order No.MAR-SSN-2013-170 and issues the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2016-102, closing the following area(s) to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops: 

That portion of Clam Harvest Area 4 namely Medway Harbour / Medway River and Voglers Cove, Nova Scotia described as: 

  1. That portion of Voglers Cove inside a line drawn from grid reference 376240E / 4890371N thence to grid reference 376207E / 4889832N on Bark Island, thence to grid reference 378149E / 4889278N.  Refer to map Liverpool 21A/2. 
  2. That portion of Medway Harbour and Medway River inside or south of a straight line drawn from grid reference 372533E / 4888629N at Long Point to grid reference 373857E / 4888326N at the tip of Fosters Island and thence to the lighthouse at grid reference 374013E / 4887823N.  Refer to map Liverpool 21 A/2. 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid  references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (NAD 1983).
