The Regional Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Maritimes Region,

issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No.: MSN-2019-243

 

Closing the following area:

 

Place Name: Minas Basin (Longspell Point, Boot Island and Cheverie Point) - Hants and

Kings County

 

That portion of the Minas Basin, inside a line drawn from a point at 45.16587° north latitude,

64.35196° west longitude on Longspell Point to a point at 45.14697° north latitude,

64.26476° west longitude on Boot Island, and thence to a point at 45.14724° north latitude,

64.19824° west longitude on Cheverie Point. Including the Cornwallis River and Gaspereau

River in Kings County, and the Avon River in Kings County and Hants County.

 

Note: The coordinates are expressed using the datum World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84).
