Capelin Fixed Gear Fishery Opening in a Portion of Area 14

DFO advises that the Capelin fixed gear fishery using traps and bar seine (including modified bar seine known as "tuck seine") for vessels less than 65 feet, in portions of Western NL will open at 0600 hours on Wednesday 15 June 2016 in Capelin fishing Area 14, Fishing Zone from Cape St. Gregory to Point Riche.

Harvesters are reminded that licence conditions are available through the national On-line Licencing System (NOLS).

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2016-062 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-074 comes into effect on June 15, 2016.
