2016 Lobster Fishery Openings for Area 12, 13A, 13B

DFO advises that the lobster fishery, in Lobster Fishing Area 12,13A,13B will open as follows:

- LFA 12 April 18, 2016 to June 27, 2016

- LFA 13A (Cape Ray to Cape St. George) April 18, 2016 to June 29, 2016

- LFA 13B (Cape St. George to Cape St. Gregory) April 23, 2016 to July 5, 2016

Harvesters are reminded that they are not permitted to retrieve fishing gear or possess lobsters during the initial 48 hour gear-setting period after the announced opening date. Fish harvesters are advised that licence conditions are available on the National Online Licencing System.(NOLS)

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2016-019 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-020 comes into effect on April 5, 2016.
