Salmon Rivers re-opening in Zone 6, 7, 9, 10

DFO advises anglers that due to improved environmental conditions the following rivers will re-open to catch-and-release angling only at noon on Wednesday August 16, 2017.

Zone 6

71. Bellevue River, Trinity Bay

Zone 7

72. Salmon Cove River, Conception Bay

73. North River, Conception Bay

74. South River, Conception Bay

75. North Arm  River, Holyrood

Zone 9

81. Salmonier River, including Back River below falls

82. Colinet River

83. Rocky River

84. North Harbour River

85. Little Salmonier River

86. Big Barachois Brook

87. Branch River

Zone 10

88. Great Barasway

89. South East River (Placentia) & tributary streams

90. Northeast River Placentia

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Orders 2017-211, 2017-212, 2017-213, 2017-214 and 2017-215 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2017-217, 2017-218, 2017-219, 2017-220 and 2017-221 come into effect at 1200 hours on August 16, 2017.
