Herring Mobile Gear Opening in St. Mary's Bay and Placentia Bay for <55' fleet

DFO advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary's Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels less than 55 feet in length (16.76 m), will open at 0600 hours on Monday March 6, 2017.

Fishers are reminded that at-sea observer coverage and dockside monitoring services must be arranged prior to fishing.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2017-001 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-011 comes into effect on February 25, 2017.
