Amendment to nf.17.065B LOBSTER FISHERY SEASON OPENING IN AREA 14B AND 14C

DFO advises of lobster openings in the following areas: Lobster Fishing Area 14B (Point Riche to to Big Brook) will open at 0600 hrs on Tuesday May 9, 2017 and close on July 6, 2017 at 2000hrs. Lobster Fishing Area 14C (Big Brook to Cape Bauld) will open at 0600 hrs on Thursday May 18,2017 and close on July 15, 2017. Harvesters are reminded that they are not permitted to retrieve fishing gear or possess lobsters during the initial 48 hour gear-setting period after the opening date.

DFO reminds fish harvesters that they must possess a valid licence conditions available on the National Online Licencing System.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2017-038 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-043 comes into effect on May 4, 2017.
