10A Inner Soft-Shell Crab Closure of Grid J63

 

DFO advises that in accordance with the soft-shell Crab protocol, grid J63 in Crab Fishing Area 10A Inner Placentia Bay (3Ps Inshore) will close to fishing for Snow crab at midnight on Monday, May 29, 2017 due to a high incidence of soft-shell Crab.  This grid will be closed to Snow crab fishing for the remainder of the year.

Harvesters should note that all gear in this grid shall be removed on your next fishing trip.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2017-070 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-073 comes into effect on May 30, 2017.
