Reminder 3Ps Lobster Fishing Season Closure Dates

DFO advises fish harvesters in NAFO Sub-division 3Ps that the lobster fishery in the following areas will close as indicated below:

Lobster Fishing Area 11, east of Western Head, Hare Bay will close at 2000 hours on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Lobster Fishing Area 11, west of Western Head, Hare Bay will close at 2000 hours on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Lobster Fishing Area 10 (Placentia Bay) will close at 2000 hours on Monday, July 10, 2017.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2017-107 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-114 comes into effect on June 16, 2017.

Fish harvesters are reminded that all fishing gear must be removed from the water by closing time.

Harvesters are also advised to submit their completed Lobster logbooks as required.
