Soft-Shell Crab Closures in Crab Fishing Area 3D, NAFO Division 3K

DFO advises that in accordance with the soft-shell Crab protocol, quadrants AG35C and AG34D in Crab Fishing Area 3D in NAFO Division 3K inshore will close to fishing for Snow crab at midnight on Monday, July 10, 2017 due to a high incidence of soft-shell Crab.

These quadrants will be closed to Snow crab fishing for the remainder of the year.  Harvesters should note that all gear in these quadrants shall be removed on your next fishing trip.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2017-141 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-142 comes into effect at 1800 hours on July 10, 2017.
