Homewaters Bluefin tuna tags deadline

DFO reminds those harvesters fishing Bluefin tuna in homewaters that, as per the terms of the 2017 pilot project, at least two tags were required to have been purchased prior to the season opening July 15, 2017.

This deadline has been extended to July 28, 2017. Harvesters who have not purchased the minimum two tags by then may not be eligible to participate in this year's Bluefin tuna fishery.

Tags are only available to those fish harvesters who previously declared they would be participating in this year's homewaters fishery.
