3Ps Fixed Gear Atlantic Halibut Retention No Longer Permitted

Fish harvesters are advised that retention of 3Ps Atlantic halibut by-catch in NAFO Sub-Division 3Ps will no longer be permitted for fixed gear vessels less than 65 feet as of 20:00 hrs NL Daylight Time on Sunday, September 3, 2017. It is expected that the Atlantic Halibut by-catch allocation will have been taken by that date.

 

By-catch limits are outlined in harvesters 2017 Groundfish General Licence conditions.
