DFO INSHORE FISHERY OUTREACH MEETINGS (NAFO Division 3KL)

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans will host a number of meetings along the Northeast and East Coast of the island portion of the Province (NAFO Division 3KL) over the coming months. The intent of these meetings is to provide inshore harvesters and other interested stakeholders an opportunity to discuss matters of concern in current inshore fisheries. Our primary goal will be to hear harvesters' concerns with a view to working with them to develop feasible solutions. The first of these meetings will be held in:

St. Anthony at the Lion's Club on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6 -8 P.M.

This meeting will be open to participants from the Straits portion of 4R as well.

Similar meetings are being planned for other areas along the Northeast and East Coast early in the New Year. Announcements with respect to times and locations will be made at a later date.
