UNIT II (NAFO DIVISIONS 3Ps (h)) REDFISH FISHERY CLOSURE

DFO advises that the Unit II Redfish fishery in NAFO Division 3Ps(h) will close on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2000 hours, for Newfoundland and Labrador based inshore (< 65 feet) mobile gear fleets.

This closure is a result of small fish protocols being exceeded.

Small fish closures will be for a minimum of 10 consecutive days and may reopen following a successful industry funded test fishery.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2018-146 has been revoked and Variation Order 2018-165 comes into effect at 1800 hours on July 19, 2018.
