3Ps - Herring Mobile Gear Opening in Placentia Bay for <55' fleet

DFO advises that the Herring fishery in Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels less than 55 feet in length (16.76 m) will open at 0600 hours on Monday, March 4, 2019.

Fishers are reminded that at-sea observer coverage and dockside monitoring services must be arranged prior to fishing.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-004 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-007 comes into effect on March 2, 2019.
