Herring Mobile Gear Closing in St. Mary's Bay and Placentia Bay for >55' fleet

Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary's Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels greater than 55 feet in length (16.76 m), will close at 1800 hours on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Landings will be assessed at this time and possibly reopen pending available quota.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2020-003 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-004 comes into effect at 1700 hours on January 23, 2020.
